Hi all! I'm just finishing my fourth week of the Challenge. I've been really dedicated, and hit the gym or yoga class almost every day for almost 28 days now. I've kept a strict food journal for the first week, and a more abbreviated one for the last three weeks. The bummer is that I've actually gained two pounds. Now, I know that doesn't sound like much, but I have been sitting on 135 lbs, 5'6" for a long time, and I'd been hoping that the Challenge would help me hit my pre-pregnancy weight of 123. Instead I have gained a few pounds. While I realize this is probably muscle weight, and I'm losing fat, I'm still a little discouraged. Has this happened to anyone else, and if I keep plugging away will I eventually lose those extra lbs?

Yes, this is the story of my life. Depending on what kind of shape you were in pre-pregnancy will likely determine if you can reduce to that same number via this method that involves strength training and exercise. If your normal 123lb self is muscular, then I'd say it's possible. If you were not as active before, it may not be, but then again, it could.

This is why the diet industry is so flawed. People are far too concerned with that actual *magic number*. I'd keep your focus on clothing size or something more concrete. Weight is just a number.

I'm actually in the best shape of my life, oddly enough. I teach dance and yoga 10 hours a week, and don't include any of those activities toward my challenge workouts. And size is pretty irrelevant, since I can wear my high school freshman homecoming dress still, and my wedding dress, both a size 3/4. I guess I am just fixated on "getting back" to that particular number. My body fat, 21.5%, is actually lower than before I was pregnant, so I suppose I should be happy and healthy and leave it at that.
